Text Box: Tradition Here at Westlake High School, we are excited and proud of our baseball program. In 2009 we were ranked #5 in the state. In 2007, 2008, and 2009 we were SWC runners-up. In 2006, SWC Champs. We have made it to district play 12 times over the last 16 seasons. In 1996 and 1999 we were regional qualifiers. We have produced 16 winning seasons over the last 18 years. Game Day Status First Varsity scrimmage is set for Monday, March 19th, 2012 versus Avon at Crushers Stadium! Hall of Fame The Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches AssociaŽtion inducted our very own Coach Jeff Short into its Class of 2011 Hall of Fame during the annual NEOBCA All-Star Game in June at Progressive Field. Coach Short has been the WHS baseball coach for 21 seasons and won his 300th game in 2010. He is a math and science teacher at Parkside.
