Hilliard PTA

Goals and Objectives

The goals and objectives of Hilliard Elementary PTA are:

· to encourage parent involvement in their children’s education by providing volunteer opportunities such as serving on the Hilliard Elementary PTA Executive Board, being a Room Parent, filling orders at Book Fair, planting flowers to beautify the school grounds, locating costumes for a music program, boxing food during Market Day, selling tickets at Fun Fair and monitoring games during Field Day, just to name a few;

· to recognize the dedication of the Hilliard Elementary staff by donating materials and equipment for staff use, assisting staff by providing services like book binding through Husky Helpers, hosting a staff luncheon as well as providing staff gifts for the holidays;

· to enhance the children’s elementary school experience by assisting with or providing and funding a variety of programs and activities such as the Art Show, Author Visit, Book Fair, Celebrate the Arts, Cultural Arts (assemblies), Field Day, Fourth Grade Recognition, Health & Welfare (including the lice check), Holiday Decorating, Holiday Ornaments, Ice Cream Social, and Music Programs;

· to encourage communication amongst staff, PTA and families by providing a monthly newsletter (the Hilliard Hi-Lights) and the Student Directory; and

· to support National PTA and Ohio PTA programs by participating in the Reflections program (a fine arts contest) and Founders Day as well as attending leadership conferences.
