The following projects
can benefit from many helping
hands. Below is a brief summary to
familiarize you with the job description.
Please indicate on the PTA membership form your areas of interest.

Assist in labeling, mounting

food dishes for bake sales, staff treats, and luncheons. |

Assist children with writing
wish lists and/or filling book orders. |

Celebrate the Arts |
Assist visiting artists in
classrooms as needed. Plan and
organize luncheon for artists and staff. |
Second Semester |

Fall Festival |
Set-up, clean-up cafeteria
for sit down dinner. Assist with
games/activities and merchandise sales. |

Field Day |
Monitor field day games. |

Fun Fair |
Set-up, clean-up, monitor
games, decorating, ticket sales, food service, organize raffle. |

Flower Box & Grounds |
Assist with beautification
and maintenance of the school grounds. |

4th Grade
Recognition |
Plan & organize an event
for departing 4th graders. |
A day in June during school
hours. |

Health & Welfare |
Assist the school nurse with
the lice check. Help deliver items
collected from the Mitten Tree & May Dugan Cereal Drive. |

Assist with decorating the
school cafeteria and/or the Julie Tree planted on the school grounds. |

Hospitality |
Set-up, clean-up and/or staff

Husky Helpers |
Assist with book binding,
creating cloth books and other miscellaneous projects. |

Husky Wear Sales |
Assist in the sale &
distribution of Hilliard spirit wear (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.). |
Items sold on dates to be
determined. |

Ice Cream Social |
Assist with the sale of ice
cream sundaes during the Art Show. |

Library Helper |
Assist the librarian with
check-out and circulation.
Substitutes needed. |
Shifts available through the

Market Day |
Place monthly reminder calls
from home. Staff the Market Day

Third Saturday of every month

Music Program |
Assist with simple
set/scenery construction, decorating, making/finding costumes, apply make-up;
Type memos & programs; Stage set-up and clean-up. |

Noon Aides |
Assist in the cafeteria
during lunch periods by opening containers, wiping tables, and other duties
as needed. |

Ohio Reads |
Assist children with
developing and improving reading skills. |
Usually one hour per week with
times varying based on classroom schedules. |

Room Mothers |
Coordinate 3 holiday parties
(Halloween, Winter & Valentines Day).
Clipping & sorting product labels, box tops, grocery receipts; and
other duties as requested by PTA or teacher |
Parties take place during
school hours in the afternoon. Many
other tasks can be completed at home. |
