“I can’t find my stuff!”
Organization Tips:
1.
Try using only two binders for all four-core
classes.
2.
Make and organize one that will contain all
information for your two morning classes and another for your two afternoon
classes.
3.
Color-coding your textbook covers to match the
specific class binder is a great idea.
4.
Fill out your plan book during class time before
you leave to go to your next class.
5.
Check your plan book at the end of the day before
going to your locker. See what you need
to take home.
6.
Refer to the Earth Team’s website or call a friend
if you forgot to write something down.
Also, you can download and copy many worksheets if you were absent or
lost/forgot something at school.
7.
Use Porter Library! It is a great place to go for books and use of the computers if
you don’t have access at home.
8.
Clean out your locker one time every week during
DSH time…do this instead of socializing.
9.
Keep track of projects and upcoming tests on a
monthly calendar. Cross of the days as they pass by. This reminds you how quickly due dates approach.
10. Make daily “TO DO” lists to help
prioritize. Cross them off once
finished. You will feel a sense of
accomplishment!
11. Ask for help when you think you need it after
trying it on your own!
