Jour 1
Painting take home bags outside “en plein air.”
Jour 2
Learning about art, food and film in preparation for our field trip. Below is a link to one of the short French films we watched: “Oktapodi.”
Jour 3- Field trip day!
First stop- West Side Market! The popular stand was the crêpe stand!
Next stop- The Cleveland International Film Festival office!
Final stop- The Cleveland Museum of Art
Jour 4
Students painted a recreation of their favorite piece of art from The Cleveland Museum of Art. Many chose Monet’s “Waterlillies.”
We also played “Pin the tooth on the tooth fairy” after we learned that in France, the tooth fairy is a mouse!
Jour 5
Un “pique-nique” of French foods after ordering them in French.
Nature walk talking about nature in French.
Jouer au “pétanque.”
Jouer au foot.
To end camp, we played a game with l’alphabet.
