The Westlake City Schools Food Service Department serves nutritious meals to students and staff members of the district. The department participates in the district wellness committee by creating healthy choice meals and snacks at all their locations. The 36 full and part time employees prepare an average 230,000 meals each year throughout the school buildings. The department participates in the Federal and State school lunch program at all seven of the schools. Lunch meal prices are $2.30 in the elementary and intermediate schools, $2.80 in the middle school and $2.80 or $3.30 in the high school.
Eligible families can receive free or reduced price meals for their children. Free and Reduced lunch eligibility requirements can be found in the “2012-2013 Complete Lunch Program Packet”.
