2nd at STATE!
Congratulations (again!)
to sophomore Kalpana Beach who finished tied for
second place in the state meet by just 1”, putting a fine capper to a fine
season for the Lady Demons.

BEACH to STATE!
Congratulations to
sophomore Kalpana Beach for qualifying to the
state meet for the second year in a row!
Great performances were also put in by Hanna Dixon, who set a school
record in the 200, and the 4x400 Relay team of Megan Davis, Sarah Stachowiak, Hayley Smik, and
Dixon who not only set a school record and finished 5th. Also finishing 5th were
Charlotte Tate in the 1600 and Bridget McNeill in the Discuss. Congratulations to all the girls who
participated at the Regional meet, and check the results above for final

4x4 at DISTRICTS!
Finishing 4th
at Districts, the girls were led by several fine performances, including
four 2nd place finishes highlighted by Alex James, Bridget
McNeill, Kalpana Beach, and Charlotte Tate. In all, nine girls advanced to Regionals with their performances at Districts. Check

3rd at SWC
Running against
stiff competition, the girls had several fine performances in one of the
most competitive SWC meets in recent memory. Highlights included SWC Championships by Kalpana Beach, who set a meet and school record in the
High Jump, a distance-double by Charlotte Tate in the 800 and the 1600, in
which she broke freshman records in both as well as a school record in the
latter, and 4x400 team of Hayley Smik, Sarah Stachowiak, Kalpana Beach,
and Megan Davis that set new school record.
Congratulations to all the girls who competed at Brecksville and

THREE-PEAT at WESTLAKE!!!
For the third year
in a row the girls were victorious on their home track, this time despite
very windy conditions and a much more competitive field. Several Lady Demons performed well,
including Alex James who was named the Larry Nickle
Most Outstanding Athlete! Click

5th at BEREA
Despite inclement
weather, the girls continued their fine season against solid competition
with several fine performances, including the first place Discus Relay team
of Bridget McNeill, Jenna Daghstani, and Grace Samanuk which captured their third relay title in

6-0 at N.O.!
Continuing their
dual meet success, the girls ran their dual meet record to a perfect 6-0
with a fine performance versus the Eagles of North Olmsted. Winning 12 of 17 events, the girls were
highlighted by Hannah Dixon narrowly missing the school record in the 200
while Alesha Beverly, Alex James, and Charlotte
Tate all had three victories apiece.

3rd at COMET!
Improving from
last season’s 4th place finish by scoring in every event but
one, the girls finished in the top three at the historically competitive
Amherst Comet Relays. Highlighting the
girls’ strong performances were Alex James, who extended her own school
record in the Long Jump as well as the Sprint Medley team of Hayley Smik, Liz Stark, Hannah Dixon, and Megan Davis who set
a new school record in that event. Also performing extremely well were
Bridget McNeill, Jenna Daghstani, and Amber
Singleton, who won the Discus Relay.

5-0 at FALLS!
The girls ran
their dual meet record to an undefeated 5-0 with a dominating performance
versus Olmsted Falls. Hannah Dixon
and Charlotte Tate led the girls with four victories each as the girls won
15 of 17 events. See results above

THREE-PEAT at LAKEWOOD RELAYS!!!
Despite missing
several team members due to Spring Break, the girls dominated a limited
field to earn their third straight Ranger Relays team championship. Winning multiple events, the meet was
highlighted by Kalpana Beach in the High Jump,
who extended her own school record, and Sophia Kopasakis in the 3200, who set new meet records. See results above for more information on

SWEEP at AMHERST
Sweeping all of
the running events, the girls defeated Amherst to go to 4-0 on the season
in duel meets. See full results

5th at MEDINA
Running against
stiff competition, the girls competed well en route to a top five team
finish at their first ever showing at the Medina Invitational. Despite missing several girls due to
Spring Break, the girls put in several fine performances that bode well for
the beginning of the season. Check

UNBEATEN at HOME!
The girls won
their final home dual meet of the year by outsprinting
a much improved Avon Lake team. Also
dominating the field events, the girls put in several fine performances en
route to finishing their home season undefeated. See above for more results.
TEAM to WATCH
The Chronicle-Telegram named the girls as one of the Teams to
Watch this season while Bridget McNeill and Kalpana

2-0 at Home!
In their home
opener, the girls swept both Strongsville and Collinwood in the first meet
of the season. Dominating the distance
and field events, the girls have begun the ’09 campaign in impressive style
by starting the season with two strong wins. For more information on the meet, see results above.
TOPS in OHIO!!!
Running in the
state indoor track meet at the University of Akron, Charlotte Tate &
Megan Davis finished 9th and 11th, respectively, in
the 1600 & the 400. Both PR’d and ran fantastic races, capping a fantastic
indoor season and setting the stage for the upcoming outdoor season. See results above for full stats on the

STATE BOUND!!!
Qualifying for the
indoor state track meet, Charlotte Tate & Megan Davis will run this
Saturday at the University of Akron.
Charlotte, ranked 16th in the state will be seeded 12th
while Megan, ranked 17th in the state, will be seeded 13th. See Upcoming Events to the right for more
information on the event this weekend.
OBERLIN & DONE
Running in the
last indoor meet of the year, Charlotte Tate won the 1600 while Megan Davis
finished 3rd in the 400.
Bridget McNeill, meanwhile, capped a fine indoor season that saw her
finish in the top 30 in the state while Megan Boland finished 3rd
in her heat. See full results above.
FINAL INDOOR MEET AT KENT
Every girl set a
new PR at the final indoor meet of the year at Kent State, with Megan
Boland and Megan Davis winning their heats in the 200 while Bridget McNeill
qualified for the third straight time to the finals of the shot. Meanwhile, Charlotte Tate won her heat in
the 1600 while finishing 10th overall. See results, above, for complete stats.
2nd INDOOR MEET AT KENT
Participating in
their second indoor meet of the year at Kent State University, the girls
enjoyed several outstanding performances, led by Megan Davis’ 2nd
place finish in the 400 and top 10 finish in the 200, Charlotte Tate’s 4th
place finish in the 1600, and Bridget McNeill’s 8th place mark
in the shot put. Running for the
first time this season were Alesha Beverly, Megan
Boland, and Dunya Abrahaim. See results, above, for complete meet

INDOOR AT KENT
Several girls
traveled to Kent State University to participate in the team’s first meet
of the year. Running well were Megan
Davis & Charlotte Tate who both finished in the top ten in their events
while Jenna Daghstani & Bridget McNeill’s
throws earned them top twenty spots.

TRACK IS BACK !
Track season is
back! Last spring the girls enjoyed
one of their best seasons in team history with several great team and individual finishes. The team looks to continue it’s winning ways by starting indoor track conditioning
the first week of December from 2:50-3:50 Monday through Thursday, meeting
at the “Four Corners.” See Coach

you’d like to join in the spring.
